Does anyone have anxiety attacks at work? I currently have a lot of pending work and when it all piles up at the same time - I suddenly get so Anxious and can’t concentrate at a single thing. I feel like my productivity level drops and I can’t complete my work which stresses me out at home. Anyone knows any techniques how to stop these attacks in the office?

@ juls i completely understand. I have had the same problem. What I is weird but it works. I take my shoes and socks off. I get paper towels not to wet the floor. And get a cup of ice cold water and wet my feet under my desk. This helps me a great deal to get refocus or I will get my fan and let the cold air hit my bare feet. It helps grounds me. In 2 minutes. Then I listen to my music or funny talk show

Hello Juls, same happens to me only that i can kinda hold my breath until i am at home and then i worry and worry until the next day and have a panic attack shortly before work.... so i looked into anxiety, like what it is and how i can deal with it. Basically it's the brain thinking there is danger that you could take harm from and it gives us emotions to put us into action. So actually anxiety can safe your life if there is a dangerous situation and your emotions tell you to run. If you feel like when there is no real danger, then it's called generalised anxiety disorder or social anxiety disorder. And you can learn to rewire your brain to make the anxiety less. Believe me you are not alone with this. Me, and so many other people feel that way. Here is a link to a youtube video of a therapist that explains it perfectly: It helped me soooo much with my anxiety!
