Does anyone else get this?

So when I'm having a panic attack my senses seem to become super heightened. Lights and sounds and movement can become entirely overwhelming. I haven't heard much about this and I'm wondering if this is something other people experience, too.

That most definitely does happen. When it comes to sensory overload, it's something people experience quite a lot when having anxiety. It can be quite intense indeed. It can feel like suddenly all of the senses are sharper and the world is being experienced quite intensely.

Wow, that makes so much sense. I have felt like this before and wondered if I was just going crazy🥴

@TeaGirl57

I understand that❤️
And no, you are definitely not 'going crazy' in any way for experiencing that. Btw, if you ever want to talk to someone about it, I am here for you, you can message me privately and I will support you❤️

@courageousThinker399 thank you so much for sharing! I know so many people understand what this is like, myself included. It used to be so difficult for me: burning in my face, blushing uncontrollably, sweating, heightened senses (everything got so loud), trouble breathing, my head spinning, even crying at times. I would do anything to get out of that situation. I would have anxiety attacks quite often. Even if I was at home, and sometimes it felt like it came from no where. No matter if you know the trigger or not, it still sucks. But you can get through it, you're not alone. You can train your body to stay calm in situations. Even thought it'll be uncomfortable for awhile, it gets easier.
