@cupomo I have a very severe fear of death, too, to the point that i'll lose sleep over it. I'm not sure how but i've learnt to cope with it over tme. I think it has mostly been through pushing the thought away. I'm not going to say that's the healthiest option. But if you start with that and then slowly begin to think about what aspect of death terrifies you the most, it might help. Is it the uncertainty of it? The fact that you'll leave everyone behind? If you figure that out, you can probably then look at how to overcome it.
@cupomo
We all fear death my friend, death is part of the circle of life, its unavoidable and it's humanity's and every organism's final fate. Sure, it's hard to live with but I ask you this:
Would you rather lie down and accept your fate or would you want to live a happy life and know you did something amazing for yourself when you do eventually meet your end? How does death affect those around you, would you rather be forgotten or have your legacy live on?
Just be happy that you're alive, healthy, happy and cared for! :)
Irvin Yalom did some good work about fear of death in his book "Staring at the Sun". I recommend it.
