Im currently struggling with major panic attacks because I will attend a new high school in 2 weeks... We recently moved, thats why Im changing schools. Im so afraid of my new class, of new people, new situations... The panic attacks are getting worse and worse, even though Im not even in school yet. Im experiencing them when Im at home, thinking about the new school situation... Im a very shy and introverted girl, not good at making new friends and always worrying what other people will think of me... I actually thought about skipping school, which is kind of stupid, yes. But I really want to avoid this situation, meeting new people and being the new girl...

Has anybody ever been in the same situation, and dealt with panic attacks? I really dont know what to do, my parents arent helpful and understanding.

In prehistoric times when I went to high school, it was very much like that. When I went to a new school, people were standoff-ish. It might be helpful to practice meditation when you are stuck in a situation with many people. Also, it might be helpful to smile if someone introduces themselves. Everyone is awkward to some extent in high school. So, it could also be useful to think that the other people are also uncomfortable.
