The stress and anxiety are killing me at work. I don't even want want to go anymore. Prescription drugs don't seem to be helping. Any advice?

Hi! I completely understand your situation. My anxiety has been slowly stopping me from doing all the things I enjoyed doing. I’ve been prescribed Xanax but I don’t want to come dependent on it. The best bet for you is to seek therapy and if recommended to try some maintenance anxiety medicine. You must first face where your stress and anxiety is coming from. I know it’s rough, hang in there my friend!

You aren’t alone and a lot of people are experiencing everything you are right now. I recommend becoming more religious if that calms you down, it works for a lot of people. Moreover, I think you should also find something you really like doing and make sure to integrate that into your everydya life, even if it’s just for 5-10 minutes a day! Maybe it’s biking, walking, playing sports, drawing, reading, writing, etc. by doing so, you’ll notice almost an immediate change in your mood and productivity. You got this! I’m here for ya if you ever wanna talk more or we can do weekly checkups or something. You are stronger than you think!

I'm going through the same thing. On meds for the first time and it's been 6 weeks and I'm not sure they'll ever make me feel normal. The only thing I do is try to keep as busy as possible at work. Maybe listen to calming music or funny podcasts while you work. I know how hard it is though.

Greetings DRC58, I hope that you are feeling better today. Have you tried the Calm app? It’s really a great tool in times of urgent need! I use it a lot! Also I have found that CalmiGo is a great tool to have on hand! Quick, easy and comforting to have. Prayer, meditation and wonder websites like this one are always a plus! You are not alone in this battle! Keep the faith!
