I started getting panic attacks about 4 years ago, and I've learned that after time it does kinda "settle down", but for me it hasn't completely stopped. For trauma, you can't really forget some of the triggers for an anxiety or panic attack. The triggers can even change. What I've been working on is trying to help myself calm down, so usually I try to focus on my breathing since I tend to hyperventilate. Sometimes I'll even just sit in an uncomfortable position, or even touch something cold. A lot of why I don't have them too frequently is because I'm learning to live with my trauma, so it's good you're seeing a therapist :) the better you know yourself the more you'll understand how to manage with the panic attacks. I hope this helps, I in no way know the right answer for this, this is just what I've done :)
