Afraid of Dying
Whenever the idea of dying crosses my mind it takes over my whole consciousness. I am terrified of dying and the inevitability of it. The fact that someday I'll cease to exist is so terrifying I can't think of anything else. How do I stop myself from getting worked up about death and being so afraid?
I've been having this problem too, for as long as I remember. But I'm too afraid to talk to anyone about it. I really hope someone helps though
The After scares me more than the now
I've been having this problem as while. I've just been trying to keep my mind busy so I won't think about death
I am dying. I have pancreatic cancer. I have already exceeded my life expectancy. I feared death in the beginning but not anymore. I am comfortable with it. My family fears it more. I am lucky I have good doctors trying to manage my pain. Guess what I'm trying to say is by the time you reach death hopefully you will have found peace.
I'm afraid of dying too. I lost my mom when I was 18-19yrs old. I witnessed her death from cancer. At work Service job. This elderly lady was filling out a check and asked me what the date was. I told her the date and she responded "Ohh I'm still here?" I'm not dead yet?" I laughed because some elders have no fear of it.
