Equinophobia
Equinophobia is the intense or extreme fear of horses.
When I tell people I have this fear they look at me like I have 2 heads. "but they are so beautiful", "such majestic creatures". Yes I agree, horses look gorgeous....from a distance!
My Cause
I actually know why I have this phobia (unlike any of my other ones). When I was 10 or 11 my family took a trip to Prince Edward Island. One day on our trip we went horse-back riding along a trail. My siser's horse got flicked in the eye with a branch and threw her off. my horse got scared because of that and went galloping through the field and eventually threw me off in some rocks. I landed flat onto my back and couldn't move due to the pain I was in. My sister and I went to the hospital, and luckily there was no severe injuries but we were bed-ridden for the rest of the trip.
Ever since then I can't go near a horse without my heart racing, palms getting sweaty and have the intense need to run away!
Anyone else have a fear of horses or any other animals?
@Quinzel241 I have two fears. Spiders...and ladybugs. 
The first one people totally understand, the second...not so much haha I used to love ladybugs, but now I'm afraid of them because I was bitten by a ladybug. I ended up researching it, and they claim that Asian ladybugs bite and ever since then I've not been comfortable with having them around me. I guess some fears seem silly or weird to some people, but it doesn't mean it's something you should be ashamed of, and it doesn't mean your fears aren't valid.
