Fear of contracting covid!

I’m so nervous and scared that I may have contracted covid even though I followed all the protocols and regulations. My anxiety is so bad if I research the symptoms I instantly start feeling them and feeling sick and weak but once I’m occupied I’m totally fine. I feel as thought I’d get my family sick and lose my parents because they are high risk. I don’t know how to calm my anxiety. I’ve been having obsessive thoughts about covid. Any help or is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you actually done research on Covid from different sources?

Yes I’ve done a lot of research from reliable sites such as CDC and WHO.

@annerrrmarieee

The pandemic brings up lots of worrying. I spend lots of time check on the news at the beginning of the pandemic. When people start to worry about something, they easily active “automatic thoughts”. The brain will drag you through several scenarios which don’t fit the facts. 3 steps can help to break this spiral. First, write down the statement. Then rationalized the thought. Finally, replace the statement with positive statements. This works for me. Wish this works for you too.
