Complete fear of death and the thought of losing everyone and everything around me. Not believing there is more after life.

Hi. Death is definitely scary and losing the people you love is one of the most difficult things a human can go through. I do not know if you are religious so I will not take that train of thought. I do hope you find my input useful and that it helps puts you at ease a little.

I have learned that worrying about an event happening will NOT stop the event from happening. Death is inevitable. Worrying about it will not delay it or stop it from coming. What worrying will do though, is, take away your presence from the NOW, from the very moment you are living in. It will steal your happiness and your energy - energy that you can put into loving and cherishing the people you care about, and more importantly, energy that you can spend on YOUR well-bieng. Try to focus your energy on being the best person you want to be within the guidelines and values you have for yourself. This way you will always act with what's true to you heart and your bieng. Express love when you feel it, vocalize the positive thoughts and words to your beloved, and be kind to them so that when that day comes, you will know wholeheartedly that you gave all the love you could and that the person who passed away, did so knowing how much he/she were loved by you. There is no bigger gift to give someone than your true love. But please don't forget to love yourself as you love others.

Your fear might be because you're scared that you won't be able to make it on your own. It will be difficult without the people you love but believe me, we are much, much stronger than we think. You can do wonders. Live your life and don't let death take it away twice.

@Bronxfield2

Hi! I'm glad you found my post helpful and I'm honored that you would like to connect with me. However, I'm not a Listener but just a member of the 7cups community. As far as I know, we can only connect to Listeners or Therapists (paid). I do not think there is 1-on-1 chats for regular members to connect to one another. So if you need help or support, please reach out to one of the Listeners.

Ive been having the same struggle for a month. I have been scared if death since I remember, but it had never affected me as much as it does now. Im religious and think there's an afterlife but it makes me deeply afraid that there's just nothing. I know I shouldn't be afraid if nothing but it makes me so afraid not knowing what's going on after I die and mostly, never being able to see my loved ones again. I like my life and it makes me afraid how it can just disappear in a moment.
