Health anxiety

Hi all. New here. Unrelated to corona virus I have a tendency to focus on a symptom or set of symptoms of anything that may not be right and dwell. Then it consumes my mind to where I feel sicker and I also don't like and fear doctors and invasive procedures. The past two weeks is a stomach issue that I took medicine for and it doesn't really seem to be helping unless it is and my mind and anxiety is making it worse. I have never reached out before about this thing but all this free time on my hand has taken over my mind and I can't help but focus on my stomach symptoms. Hope everyone is doing well here. Anyone else experience these type of phobias etx?

@Musicman391 This has been happening to me too for the past month. I've been having anxiety and panic attacks when're I feel a little ache or weird feeling with my body. I'm always on the edge Everytime I wake up and for most part of the days. I go through 2 panic attacks and can't stop crying. I feel doomed and trapped and like I'm never going to get better. I get symptoms like back ache, over thinking, arm hurting, legs cramping. It's like idk what to do. My anxiety peeked because of this pandemic.

@Notaveragegirl well here is the one thing I can say every symptom you mentioned is anxiety driven so that is causing it more then anything I bet. So hopefully you can calm the anxiety and eventually when we all are back at real life it just disappears. But I'm in the same boat right now. Mine is stomach feeling bloated and burpy and uncomfortable. I think if we find a way out of our head we seem to solve more of the physical symptoms then that. I'm hoping I stay in a good course of action.

@Musicman391 omg me too!!! I keep making myself belch but sometimes it comes up with foam (I have gerd so I don't know if it's made the symptoms of it worse). I feel on edge as well after the attacks and feeling like my lungs aren't working. It's so weird. Never had to go through anything like this. It frustrates me and scares me.

@Notaveragegirl same here minus foam but i too have gerd and believe this is all being greatly amplified by worrying about it and anxiety etc. they say the gut and anxiety are linked I'm told. So I'm right there with you hoping to turn off the thoughts.

@Musicman391 yeah my guy haven't been happy neither. I lost so much weight and don't even have a appetite. I'm constantly worried about my lungs or heart or kidneys or whatever I have in mind. All because of being afraid of what was going on. It's been a month and I just wonder when will I stop panicking or these symptoms will stop. If I didn't head Cher there symptoms, I wouldn't be this anxious for sure
