I really need someone to talk to
I am 24 and graduated high school in 2010. Due to some family illness I took a few years off from school. I have been in school consistently since 2013 working on getting all of my basics. I have also been trying to figure out what I wanted to major in. I have always wanted to work in a creative environment and with movies but aside from acting I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. My mom supported my dreams of being an actress but simply asked that I find a job that would pay for my dream until my dream became a full time job. I finally found the school and major that are perfect only have my advisor tell me that financial aid eligibility cuts off at 180 hours and he does not think that I would be able to stay under that and graduate. I had never heard this "rule" before and now I am panicking because there is no way I could pay out of pocket for my tuition and I don't know what to do.

I understand your frustration when you found your dream just to be told that it might not work, it is really a dream crusher.
Maybe you could ask the advisor what is the best way to get around financial wise and go from there?
@evonne1990 I already tried talking with a listener. I tried two different ones and I ended the conversations more frustrated and confused then when I went into the conversation. I have talked with my advisor and he said I could take out loans and go into more debt.

I'm sorry the listeners weren't of much help, as we are not allowed to give advices but only help guide you to determine what is the best solution for yourself. Are scholarships or grant the next best option for you then?
