Storm Phobia
Storms of any kind can be terrifying for kids, teens, adults, and even our pets, especially if it's a natural disaster like a hurricane or a tornado. There are so many different types of weather events that can cause significant damage or even loss of life, and all of them create similar levels of panic.
What do you do to cope?
Hi @MrzSkellington
Well, years agoI was petrified of storms and always hid under the bedclothes, whether it was daytime or night. Fortunately, that phased passed long ago but I still be uncomfortable when we have a storm.

I'm struggling with this right now. A few months ago a tree fell on and destroyed my car and my dad's car, and ripped the power lines off the house causing a fire. I now cannot sleep if it's windy or rainy, as my house is surrounded by trees and I'm afraid one will fall on my house and kill me or one of my family members. I have at least 3 nightmares about it a month. Whenever there's a gust of wind or a downpour of rain I find myself holding my breath with my heart racing. It's awful :(
