you can get meditation apps that tell you how to do it if youre unsure. its called guided meditation and my favourite app for it is called Calm. they have different lengths too so you can meditate for 2 minutes up to 30

This is my personal list of strategies to cope with anxiety :

1st there is the breathing exercise : Close your eyes and start counting your breath, focus on nothing but your breath , it will calm you down. 2nd there is the grounding technique it works on the 5 senses, so when you feel anxious look around you, Name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things that you can smell and 1 thing you can taste. 3rd method is repeating a mantra it can be very simple like saying " I'm okay" or it can be more complicated like repeating a specific poem or a song. 4th is also another brething exercise , fill the air up your tummy, not your chest, 4 seconds in, hold for 3, and slowly out for 6 do it 20 times minimum. 5th 6th 7th 8th and 9th are long term methods like exercising at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes , eating balanced diet, avoiding alcohol, meditating at least for 15 minutes and sleeping for 9 hours daily.

Awesome coping skills/suggestions you've all developed.

I forgot the most important of all recovery tricks I use to help with my anxiety:

Consistency - You can try all the coping methods you want and they just dont seem to work though you put all your effort into it. Youre too panicked to give it a chance. Like deep breathings, exercise, meditation. None of these things is going to work unless we do them on a consistent basis and i feel people with anxiety dont have the patience to be consistent with a coping plan.
