One thing that really helps me if I am starting to feel my anxiety winding up, I try to make sure that there are not other things within my control that might be adding to the situation.

HALT stands for hungry, angry, lonely, tired. Any of these feelings can increase my anxiety when things are starting to feel overwhelming. So first, I try to step back and make sure if one of these things getting addressed could help relieve those anxious feelings.

If find that being tired is the biggest trigger for my anxiety.

-What do you find has the biggest impact on your anxiety?

-Do you have any things that you do to address it?

Thanks for sharing with me ❤️

Thank you for sharing the HALT method. I completely agree that all these things can worsen anxiety.

I observed that my perception of the situation is very important. When I am anxious about things that are outside of my control, then I need to step back. I use affirmations to remind myself that if we are not able to change the situation then we are challenged to change our attitudes/perceptions because worrying about it usually makes it worse. I use mindfulness exercise to get calmer and go for a walk outside with a friend.

Tiredness/fatigue most definitely have an impact on my anxiety (and just overall level of functioning honestly). I'm really bad at just going to sleep when I get into bed at night. My brain usually just wants to do "one more thing." And, well, with smartphones, that one more thing can turn into several YouTube videos.

I feel like age has really tried to teach me that time is always passing, and I do need to pay more attention. :)
