Spirituality & Anxiety Recovery
Hey 7 Cups Community! My name is Haley Neidich and I'm a therapist here in this awesome space. I specialize in working wiht young adults with anxiety using approaches that are largely spiritual in nature. So, what does that mean exactly? Focusing on spirituality does not mean focusing on religion. Spirituality, in this sense, simply means exploring the concept of surrender (letting stuff go!), beginning to tap in to the power of our higher selves, the universe, God, nature (whatever word you like) in order to feel deeply supported. It also means using practices like meditation, prayer and getting in touch with your intuition. I've been studying spirituality for years and I'm here to make myself available for spiritual and self-help questions.
On of my favorite quotes is this: "Those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait and wait without anxiety." - ACIM
But, what I REALLY love are positive affirmations, so as we jump in I'd love to offer my favorite 3 affirmations to you in case you want to test them out:
> I am calm and all is well in my world.
> I am on the right track and everything is working out for me.
> I trust that the Universe (insert your higher power) is conspiring in my favor.
So, come and talk all things spiritual with me. What does spirituality mean to you? Are you curious about learning more? How do you tap in to your intuition?
