I started using anti depressants for anxiety and depression little over a month ago, what I have noticed is I tend to drink more than I used to and I'm behaving very erratic. Does anyone have any similar experience and suggestions? Obviously not drinking is a good start but sometimes it's expected in social situations. Any advice would be very appreciated.

@easyJackfruit3618 I don't take medications for anxiety or depression but I do take lots of medications for my lupus and arthritis and I notice that when I drink alcohol, my anxiety gets way worse and I've started to only have one drink everytime I'm in a social situation like that and it doesn't happen to me when I only have one drink. Maybe try limiting yourself.

Drinking alcohol while taking antidepressants is not advised because alcohol can make your depression worse. Maybe that is why you automatically drink more. You should be very careful, try to limit drinking alcohol at all. Because it can also increase the side effects of antidepressants, such as drowsiness, dizziness and other side effects mentioned on Canada drugs website. Don't drink because of the society. You should first of all think about your health. I hope you'll be finesmiley
