Alone
I have a phobia which causes my anxiety. Its something that only 2% of the world has. I am uncomfortable sharing what specifically I have a phobia of, but it effects me on the daily. I have panic attacks in my sleep, when I encounter people on the day to day basis, when I even sit down to watch a movie. No one understands what its like. Its so hard to talk to anyone about it, especially my mom. She just always thinks Im being dramatic or immature and I will grow out of it. It has been almost 20 years and I STILL havent grown out of it. I want to get help. I want to not live with constant anxiety.

Aww ❤️ Im sorry to hear that, it can feel really isolating and stigmatised, especially when people cant and dont want to try to understand. It could be due to a lack of information or resources, or just stigma and stereotyping unfortunately.
I know you say youre uncomfortable here mentioning what the specific phobia is, but Im wondering if seeing a mental health professional and opening up to them about it is something youd consider? If not, I know one of many therapies that could help with dealing with phobias is controlled exposure therapy. Its taking it step by step, slowly acclimatising you to the actual phobia. You can research more into it if youre interested :) figuring out why youre fearful of that and using some thought stopping mechanisms could help too, though Im not sure how much.
I really do hope you can reach out to someone when and if you feel comfortable and safe enough to do so, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey ❤️

You are not truly alone.
Anyone with a phobia suffers very similarly,
Therapists are also trained well for treating phobias.
I'm going to have to see one for two phobias. One is common and one is rare. So rare that Google won't come up with any help.
