Anxiety Attacka
Anyone ever had an anxiety attack? They are basically the same thing as panic attacks. Except with an anxiety attack there is a reason.
I get these so often with no way to stop or control them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just feel so stuck. Like I'm not in control anymore. And the anxiety amplifies my depression and vice versa. So if I can control my anxiety attacks then I think things will get a lot easier. Can someone help me?
I think anxiety attacks occur when we are overthinking or stressing about something. Its better to relax yourself first. You can relax the body and mind by taking deep breaths and drinking water and diverting your mind onto something else. In my case, I had two anxiety attacks back in high school and middle school and guess the silly reason? It was when the teacher was taking an oral test of the topic I hadn’t prepared! That was so silly! I would overthink the situation to the point of getting a panic attack.

Hi, that sounds rough. I am familiar with anxiety attacks, especially at night I wake up fully anxious and scared to the max sometimes, it can take a long whole for me to feel better (lately I manage to fall back sleep somehow, it seems to work for which I am grateful).
I can see anxiety spiraling into depression and vice versa. For me, what helps is try and play my guitar or do something else that takes my mind of things.
Hope you'll find a way to cooe with this.
Have you heard of grounding exercises? They are really good at bringing your mind back to the present! Also distraction is good to help with anxiety attacks! Doing activities that you enjoy and give you a sense of accomplishment when you first start feeling anxiety, before it gets so high and turns into an anxiety attack! I personally love to paint and journal! I hope this helps! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
