My PTSD has been trigged by the incidents of gun violence around the country and one extremely close to those I love. I'm trying to take some time off work (I also work in human services) but it is really a struggle right now.

Heya! It can be really hard to even start talking about these feelings, so I wanted to applaud you for having the courage to make a post! ❤️

Times like these can definitely trigger some intense feelings and thoughts, and it is important to take time for yourself to feel the feelings and get the energy to keep going. Sometimes when these feelings come up, we want to ignore them or distract ourselves from them in an unhealthy way, but it's also essential to go through the emotions and feel them, but in a way to not to let them consume us. It is also great that you're able to recognize what's triggering to you which will help you in coping with the triggers.

Wishing all the best to you! I'm here if you need someone to talk to ❤️
