Anxiety and fearing
Hey all,
I wanted to throw some of my worries out there and see what others think, maybe it can help me to get a prospective on my own anxiety a little better.
I have struggle since a very young age with anxiety, in many different levels and at different Stages of my life.
recently my anxiety took a different turn, I now have this extreme feeling that I have something worse wrong with me, that it isn’t just anxiety it’s something else. My fear started one day when I typed into google ‘moods going up and down’
the results came back with bipolar disorder, since then I have become fixated on the fact I have bipolar. I struggle with depression which goes hand in hand with my anxiety. I can have weeks where I feel ok, then suddenly I’m anxious again and my mood sinks. This lend me to believe that it is bipolar? Or maybe the milder form (can’t spell it 😂)
im 28 and see a therapist weekly, she has told me she thinks it’s not bipolar and that I’m just very anxious . ‘My fear is are they wrong? Do I have something they are missing and if that’s the case will I just keep fearing this.
I want to start a family with my partner, we recently married and it’s been my life dream to be a mom, I’m too scared to incase my ups and downs mean I am bipolar?
I guess I should explain my ups and downs more. Sometimes I feel calm, like I have control over my anxiety and other times I can’t help but feel so anxious and then I get really down. My mood drops and I feel awful for a while. I wouldn’t say I go really high, or really low but it’s not nice for me. It’s enough to make me upset.
maybe someone feels the same way? And can help me?
i feel silly writing this but it’s ruining my life, I wake up and it’s the first thing I think about, then all day it doesn’t leave me. I spend hours googling it doing test online and trying to figure it out. Are are my mood swings normal and feel not normal because I’m over sensitive with the anxiety?
I don’t know how to get myself out this loop, doctors say they don’t think it’s bipolar yet I’m scared again they are getting it wrong. Why am I so up and down?
any help or support would be appreciated.

Hello! =)
Your concern about being diagnosed unacurately is totally valid. I dont know the stadistics, but many many people get bad mental health diagnoses. The term "she thinks im not bipolar" dont makes me that happy either, something like "she explained the bipolar condition to me, lend me a book about it so I can read and learn and calm myself, and she took me this and that exams, and acording to medical standars I dont have the condition" would have sounded better in my ears.
Good news is that there is a lot of information there, and probably more important a lot of testimonies of people. You could see lots of videos, and videoblogs and so on of people with this condition and check if you feel somewhat similar. There may be also moms sharings their experiences.
I wish you the best luck in your journey. Hugs =)
