Anxiety and future career
Anyone else doesn't know what to do? I'm so anxious about everything that I just want to leave school and stay in bed. I dropped most of my courses but I don't know how to keep going. How do others do it? How do they not just give up? This was supposed to be my last year but dropping courses and low grades, I may need another year or two. to make things worst, my family have no idea, they just think I'm smart. I can't study or do anything, all I do is think about other things and as soon as I want to study I start to panic and takes time to calm down but I still can't do my work. I don't want to be a waste of space but that's all I am now.
Hi, i feel exactly as you do. I‘m at the start of my college career but I am unable to enjoy it and stress about it way too much. Studying also makes me very anxious and panicked. Just know you are not alone and many are feeling like this. Is there anything you‘ve tried to help you with that?
I used to do better working with close friends but things happened and I just left. I took a break from school and I lost my friends. Most of my anxiety comes from remembering my old self and how I'm left behind. But you are just starting your schooling, I wonder how this started for you. If you find your reasons try to work on them, that may help a little. I just started to take some meds. I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help and thank you for telling me I'm not alone.
I dropped a year because of my anxiety but finished my school. Still when I open a book I start to panic, all kind of thoughts start messing with my head, sometimes I worry about is it going to happen or not etc. Normally for me I try to sit through the panic, after sometime other thoughts don't bother me when I am focused on work. Sometimes it's just too much for me, so I take a walk or listen to music then focus on studying. Also I give myself a break if I am too tired after studying or reward myself if I finish my task. What motivates me is trying again and again even if I am going to fail, at least I will learn something from it.
