Anxiety causing physical symptoms
Please help. I have terrible panic attacks that make me feel terrible all over. Shakiness, fear, tingling nerves, fatigue, nausea and headaches are my key symptoms. Is it all in my head or something I should get checked out?

I had the same problem earlier this year. A friend told my that the digestive system is the first thing to be affected in times of stress/anxiety. It got to the point that I was vomiting small amounts of blood from wretching so hard. One thing that I swear by is eating a big breakfast which I understand is probably the last thing you want to do but it really really helps. Something bland like toast with eggs, then a yoghurt and an apple or banana and then a cereal bar (ofcourse tailor this to your dietary needs if youre vegan etc) Even if you dont feel like it just do it. As for pains in the chest and shortness of breath, if you cant or dont want to seek medical support, then I suggest breath work and short guided meditations (cliches, I know) but this really helps, just being present and counting slowly to 4 as you breathe in and out. Also grounding techniques, during a panic attack it can feel like your brain is just going fuzzy so try to focus on 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 you can smell and 1 thing you can taste. Hope this helps.
Have you checked out Dr Harry Barry's videos or books? He is very helpful in explaining and helping with panic attacks and anxiety. You still may need medicine to help and that's okay as long as you are taking healthy steps to get better.
