Sometimes my friends can be touchy and and it makes me really upset because I was groped a lot in the past so i really don’t like being touched but I’m scared to tell my friends that. This whole situation is making me feel so stressed out and feel like throwing up

@cookiesandcreme06 im really sorry to hear that, i can empathize with being afraid of intimacy and people having physical contact with you when you were sexually assaulted and i cant apologize enough for that happening to you. i suggest to let them know that you're not comfortable with how touchy they are with you and ask for some space. if they really care about you, then they'd understand. you don't have to give them the whole story and the whole reason why if you don't want to, it's your choice and nobody can force that out of you. communication can go a long way, so i believe you should tell them. you can think about what you want to say beforehand, your comfort comes first and i wish you the best <3

I'm really sorry that something like that happened to you and I'm glad you found 7Cups. I can understand how not being able to talk about stuff really feels overwhelming. Anxious thoughts aren't easy to deal with. Try reaching out to the person who's closest to you. I know it will be tough, but you will feel much better after. You can also let people know about what makes you uncomfortable till the extents that you think is right. I, too, went through something like this and I can say it gets easier. It is completely okay to set some boundaries, which your loved ones would understand.
You can also reach out to me, if you further want to talk about anything. Take care!
