Anxious for the future and what I think I can

I just recently moved to a new city for college and in so terrified because I dont know anyone and I can barely afford being here because of a scholarship I recieved. Stepfather would put me in a bubble and never let me live and now I feel like i have too much freedom yet I know I havent even lived.

@lostbookworm Hey there!heart

It can most definitely be tough moving to a new city + going to a new school. I completely understand your worries.

It's completely normal to feel this way, having more freedom and feeling like it's too much; especially since you've been in a 'bubble'.

Have you thought about joining clubs on campus?surprise That could be a fun way to get to know people! You could join clubs that are for your interests, and start meeting people there as well as looking up events in your city and exploring them!

It can be difficult moving to a new place and all, but I know you can do it!

I am fearful about the changes I need to make.

@lostbookworm I know exactly how this feels...my parents are extremely overprotective too and because of that I'm having trouble adjusting to the outside world...and their behavior towards me doesn't help matters either. I'm so glad you've got some freedom though. I know what it's like to be kept caged your whole life and suddenly having too much freedom. Freedom is at first way scarier than restraint.
