Blah
I feel kinda numb, and at risk of sounding like an ad for depression medication, I don't seem to get enjoyment out of the things I used to. Today I had an interview with a potential summer position, met with my career development officer, and attended my classes, and then went to a Zumba course offered in the student center. I did it because I agreed to earlier, and I just felt like I was going through the motions.
@bestBranch6361 Feeling numb does not mean you have depression even though it could also. But there are days when I similarly cannot seem to derive joy from the things I would be okay with and it's frustrating. Perhaps going to your classes and zumba class did not bring you joy and you thought you were just going though the motions, maybe you can reflect why. Are you doing more things out of pressure, for others, than for yourself? For me, it helps for me to sit with my feelings and accept that I feel empty, but also think about perhaps why I feel empty. I tend to feel empty when I compare myself to others on social media or if I do too many things on my chore list instead of want list. This may be different for you, but it's okay to feel bleh or numb, just know that these feelings are not forever and do not define you.
