Just wanted to share my problem where i blushed easily, literally anytime anywhere. I have suffered from social anxiety for a few years now and blush when i was having panic attack. The blush that im having is not that kind of pinkish and cute blush we seen in cartoon or comic book, its tomato red, all over my face, ears, neck and even chest. And i was so self conscious about it make the situation worse. I couldn't step out of my room without having panic attack and yes i will have anxiety even in my house, with family. I have met counselor from my college and it was definitely helpful. Im slowly recovering, still having panic attack and blush problems but i feel better now. (:

Ps: Hi im from Malaysia pls forgive my English 😝

@Charlie1211 I'm sorry that your thread has been sitting here unanswered for so long. Sounds like you were making progress even before you posted this and I hope you have taken more steps since then. I'm sorry that you feel embarrased by your blush. Believe me I understand. When I was younger, it started with just hating to go outside and play because any kind of exercise (didn't have to be a lot) would make my face bright red like a tomato. I was so embarrased that I started using my freetime to read on a bench or ask to stay indoors and help around the classroom.

But as I got older and my social anxiety got worse in middle school and high school, I would turn bright red like that at any kind of unwanted attention. I didn't like teachers calling on me to answer questions and I especially hated presentations. Without fail, I would be told how red I was by a classmate after I was done. I thought I made a lot of progress with my social anxiety where I didn't feel as nervous when public speaking anymore. Lately it has come back with a vengence. I once again try to hide from my peer's attention. I once again shy away in the corner. And once again my face turns bright red when I need to present. Knowing I am turning red only makes it worse and I start to stumble on my words and then I get more red from embarrassment. It's a vicious cycle.

I wish I had more advice for you on how to overcome this. The first time I made progress with my social anxiety was to face I tried harder to volunteer rather than wait and be terrified of being called upon. I would over prepare for presentations so I could say it forward and backwards (no more stumbling over words). Soon the anxiety wasn't there anymore. And with the anxiety gone, so were many instances of my red face. I know this isn't much. I'm basically saying you need to take it one step at a time. But I hope that this helps nonetheless and you don't feel as nervous about your blush anymore.
