im a junior in high school and this semester has been honestly terrible for my mental health. there is so much pressure for good grades and I’m taking a lot of AP classes. and my parents haven’t told me that they are proud of me for trying to get through it, they just took about how important everything is and put more pressure on it. I'm just getting so overwhelmed and I don't want to let anyone down

You must be feeling tired from the pressure and unappreciated for your efforts. I'm sorry that you have to be dealing with this stress and anxiety. Do you think the reason you're feeling so awful is because your primary motivation is external? You're achieving good grades solely for meeting your parents expectations. Try to find a motivation for achieving your grades that YOU find important. What do you look forward to in your future? What impact do you want to make? How are your actions today bringing you closer to your vision?
