Desperately need relationship help
So this is my first time posting on here but its nearly 4am and I cant calm down.
My girlfriend and I live together and have been together for 7 months. Recently a problem has arose. It was a combination of her being very stressed at work and me working 3rd shift. I started feeling things had changed and that we were distant so it made me become more clingy in an almost toxic way. Her previous relationship ended due to the same thing. So its been hard on me. She needs space and I know she does, but my anxiety is through the roof and it leads me to trying to force her to talk to me and now I feel weve reached a point where she is very close to leaving me and I dont feel I have the time to prove to her that that is not who I really am. I need to know how to control my anxiety to keep myself from forcing the these talks that lead to nowhere except to her wanting to leave more
Hi!
i was told that if you label your anxiety and write it out then psychologically the stress in your brain has a label on it and your brain finds it easier to deal with. Apparently, when they took an X-ray if the brain they could see the anxiety area reduce just by labeling the problem. So maybe label each problem. For example, fear of being alone because ... or fear of parenting my child alone or fear of my child losing a mother figure. Whatever your fears are. I did this after my husband died. I had quite a long list. It did make me feel better seeing it in a page.
