Divorce

I have been separated for many years. I have developed a serious aversion to the divorce process due to my ex. He never follows thru on anything. I say let's do the paperwork. He says ok but then doesn't. I just can't seem to make myself do the paperwork again and then have him not agree again. I know I am making the issue bigger by letting it continue but I cannot seem to overcome this anxiety I have developed about the whole situation.

Divorce is such a painful process to cope with whether it's something you want or not and, given the circumstances, I can understand your hesitancy. It sounds like your ex made that process difficult and it would be hard to approach that again. I know it may feel certain but it could be different this time the only way you will find out is if you do approach it again. It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of stuckness around this and if you want someone to talk it over with I'm happy to support you through it. I hope it gets easier for you to push through, I believe in you, take care.
