Emotional insecurity
I am 33 (going to be 34). I often screwed up things at work and recently I am extremely anxious about if I would get fired because of some mindless mistakes. I feel things are out of my control therefore I live in fears. I have no idea how to survive and the fear is getting stronger as I grow older. I just checked the term 'emotional insecurity' and founds out the description totally fits my situation. I remember I have read a book about highly sensitive person, in which the author mentions that you need feel safe in a container before being able to explore outward. Now I am eager to know if there are any recommended books about emotional insecurity. Millions of thank in advance and I wish people in this form may find comfort here.
12 Rules For Life by Jordan Peterson was a really helpful book for me. It's not completely about emotional insecurity, but some of the chapters do relate to that.
Hi Eve, I understand where you're coming from! I've been dealing with constant worrying this year, over playing every conversation and fearful of losing my job, relationships, etc. Brene Brown has amazing Ted talks and books on so many topics, especially surrounding self esteem and vulnerability in women. I would recommend checking her out. Take care!
