Evaluations at work
I got trained on a function at work, and my boss is going over my work and the fear of failing it completely is driving me nuts.
The metrics associated with my job drive me nuts, too. I'm always worried about my productivity being too low. They say it is to evaluate the cost of a product and not to get rid of people, but it eats at me.
@plumRaspberries7829 I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. I think if I were in a similar situation I would be unnecessarily worried as well. It's difficult to not feel nervous when we are evaluated and I wish there was a simple fix to make the fear go away.
All I can say is to try to take a clensing breath before work today. When I have any kind of public speaking event, I find it helpful to meditate before I go. Maybe that can help calm your mind and body before work today?
I realize that you posted this hours ago. Did you already go to work or is it still coming up? If you already went, then I'm sure it went better than you were expecting. And I'm sorry that no one got back to you sooner. If you are still waiting for the evaluation, I'm here if you want to talk about it. Maybe we can practice some strategies together to see what works best to calm down.

They are called KPI, Key Point Indicators and indeed they measure your performance. Use of KPI's is very beneficial but misuse of them is also a means of bad things...

I went through audits, KPI, evaluations and tests and everyone was asking me why are you so calm? I am confident, I always did my best, the rest I really don't care, it's the self valuation that counts, who you are in the mirror...
Let me give you an example of stupidity...I was the best, better then my bosses but because I had self confidence really did not care about inequities or bad things...
At a KPI evaluation my boss gave me 3.5 out of 5. Someone asked him why? He said, noone ever gets 5 and only bosses get 4 so he gets 3.5. You can't argue with that ape simplistic value😂😂😂, my bosses of all nations only cared about building their houses, cheating on the company money, caring about their children and wives, having no actual skills or doing any work (their busy schedule was waking up at 10 am). I infuriated them when I parked my Audi A4 2nd generation on the GM parking spot and coming in at work at 12:00...they grew black in their faces the lazy, abusive basstards😂😂😂, they knew there was one smarter than them, more financially powerful than them and whom they could never exploit or put down, I loved the look in their eyes😊😉🤗
