Going through it

Since yesterday I've had waves of panic attacks and it just wont stop.

I guess I could say my panic attacks come from the fear of having another huge one. The symptoms of my attacks scare me so much. I used to be able to talk myself down somewhat, but since developing a new symptom I have just not had much control over them.

Typically my symptoms are dizziness, racing heart, hot flashes, sweats, vision changes, and sometimes shaking. The mental symptoms are feeling like I'm going crazy, something really bad is going to happen to me, dread, and fear. My newest symptom is physical, it is the feeling like my skin is burning. I hate it because sometimes my brain wont sort out whether it is a burning sensation or if my body is cold.

I am so sick of this. The last two days have been extremely unpleasant. To make things worse I have 3 kids. My youngest is just 2 months old and experiencing these attacks while she is crying (she has colic) just makes things harder.

I am on medication for my attacks, but recently my doctor changed it and it's not working as well as my old one. I speak with him today for a telehealth visit so I'm planning to let him know. I just know he will refer me to a psychiatrist which sucks because it takes forever to get in to see one.

@Jessica87

Hey girl. I dont have a lot of useful advice, but I just want to say that I am right there with you. I know it's really difficult. I dont have any children, so I cant even imagine how difficult that must be. 💜

Anxiety sucks and it's scary. Ive been in bed for two days because I feel like whenever I get up, I feel more anxious.

Hang in there!
