My brother died in Sept. and I found him, he was only 28. Ever since then my anxiety is through the roof and I don't know how to calm it anymore. I try to work through it even though its always in my mind and I can barely sleep. Any help for the anxiety would be much appreciated

@ashtinlyn

Hi there,

What you have been through sounds so heartbreaking and devastating. Having to cope with the loss of your sibling must be so hard and no words can portray right now what you must be going through especially as it is so raw. Did you go for any trauma debriefing?

If you feel comfortable to share your experiences of the event it may help you to process these feelings. The anxiety is also a common part of the coping process too. What does this feel like for you? What are your support structures like?

All of my positive wishes sent to you through this difficult time.

Lisa

@OceanCounselling

Even though the anxiety is common, it doesn't make it any easier for you to cope - what techniques have you tried for anxiety?
