Homesickness can definitely be one of those "hidden" cons of moving to a completely different place. I'm sure you must really miss being able to see your mother and brother close by. I'm hoping that it'll get better with time. Your mom and brother probably miss you equally as much!

I moved across country with my fiancé and miss home so much. We moved somewhere that we know no one. I don’t mind being on my own. I think of myself as a very independent person. But not having the opportunity or option to drive 15 minutes to see my mom or brothers is getting to me.

HI there, @Uncertainlypassionate. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through the understandable "homesick" phase of relocating. It is definitely a challenge when you have such an amazing family that's not easy to access in a physical sense. But each day is closer to seeing them again soon. 🌺

@Uncertainlypassionate i can see how that would get to me to, but i live an hr from my folks.
