I can't turn it off

My anxiety arrives like clockwork everyday before I get ready for work. My heart races and I start dry heaving. I usualy collect myself enough to get started on work but it never really goes away, just lingers in the background. What do i do? I've tried to have a better morning routine but it never goes away. It's starting to take a toll on everything I do.

Dear lyf, I'm sorry your feeling so much anxiety before work. I had that alot throughout my work life too and I felt alone and shaky. I talked to my Dr about this and she helped me . Just wanted to let you know your not alone. Try reaching out for help, it worked for me. Good luck,ABB

Think about the things that brings you happiness and soothes you during that time. Try to incorporate more of that throughout your day. Definitely find what triggers you and reach out to a therapist who may be able to help you navigate through it all.

Thanks for the advice. I've been reaching out to a therapist and scheduled an appointment. Guess I just wish these feelings could be easier to manage sometimes.

Hi I have the gone through the same recently. I have talked to many listeners on this platform and it has helped a lot. Also my doctor prescribed Zoloft and that too is helping me.

Right there with ya! Have also been extremely shaky at work as of late and have a very hard time getting out of bed. Be kind to yourself in anyway that means for you. I do breathing exercises. It doesn’t feel better instantly, but it helps me get through.

I literally know the feeling. Are used to enjoy waking up and going to work every day now I dread even having my mobile with me. I have to wake up hours before I start my day just to get myself mentally ready to work and perform my activities of daily living. If it weren’t for the Xanax I wouldn’t know what to do. It’s a lifesaver but it’s also no a permanent treatment to these anxiety attacks. I am religious so I take comfort that god will take care of my issues. I’m not trying to turn this into religious response but that really helped because I’ve seen things happen to my life that I can’t explain nor deserve. I hope you’re finding your way
