It's 2:39 am and I don't even understand what I'm feeling, whether i am feeling something or not. Am i sad or this is my usual state, im not able to make the difference anymore. Whether i feel lonely or just want to be left alone even though no one is there for me. Whether i am feeling too much or nothing at all. I don't understand myself anymore or whether i even am myself right now.

I wish I could get my mind off of all the things this bother me. I need someone to talk to that willl understand what Im going through. Life is hard and it just keeps getting harder. Dont know what to do.

Not even understanding how to feel 'normal'. I feel like the person I used to be is gone forever and now all I ever feel is down, empty, confused and scared. Is this just what life is now and we have to come to accept it? The dull ache of anxiety and depression weighing down so much that you're barely even human anymore.

I get what you're trying to say and i understand. Ive been shaped into this person i don't recognise. I revisit old memories and i can't remember the person i used to be. And it's kind of sad because sometimes i wish to be that person again . I miss being me.

It's weird as well because surely it can't have all just changed in an instant, although I suppose it can. Were we expected to see the darkness coming back then, when we were different people? I think it's okay to change as a person, it just sucks that the way I've changed now is so negatively.

I guess you're right. But the worst part about change is that you never know it's going to happen and you never know how its gonna happen. And maybe nostalgia just makes us believe they were good times because they aren't here now. We never know

A great thread on a timely subject for me. I have a book. Title is something like "Childhood Emotional Neglect" by Dr. Jonice Webb. I have read the first half several times and it strikes me very deeply. In reading the book, I realize that I don't have a good grasp of my emotions and when I get to the second half of the book, the focus shifts to techniques to "repair" things. One of the first steps is identifing what you are feeling. I struggle immensly with this, I am not sure if I am just that out of touch with my emotions or my current situation is just so huge and overpowering that I feel nothing else. Scared, you bet I am, I suspect that is normal, but the paralization (sp) that it has me in has become life destroying. Maybe today I will search 7cups for threads on her book. One step forward, baby steps are big steps. Go, Do.

I haven't heard about that book but if it's helping you then it must be great. :)

The first portion that describes the affliction to probably use a poor choice of wordage is wonderful, pretty emotional and empowering. But the second half falls flat for me.
