I don't know what's wrong with me
Hello everyone,
I am desperately in need of guidance or help. I believe I have serious anxiety issues..my mind constantly races with deep fearful thoughts (i.e arguments w/ family, getting bullied, being made to feel inferior)..and I cannot get them out of my head. Its been pervasive for years but I also talk to myself randomly at times, and it's hard to avoid. I will have conversations in my head and, even more troubling, imaginary conversations where my mouth will move but no ones there..it looks like I'm talking to a ghost.
I don't know how to get it to stop, what it's called, or where to begin addressing it. I lost my job during covid and cannot afford a therapist. I really need help. I torpedo relationships, friendships, and any real close connection because I am genuinely afraid of being weird...I've lived as the "weird kid" for so long that I just don't wanna do it anymore.
Any advice is appreciated
Hi, firstly I want to say how brave you are for sharing this. Have you spoke to your Dr about a diagnosis?
I was diagnosed with eupd 15yrs ago but it was a long process.
I'm here if you have any questions or need to talk
Hi Stacey84,
I haven't spoken to my doctor about it, I can't really afford therapy at the moment..I'm just trying to figure out what is wrong with me. My moods don't typically sway to anger, its mainly fear based. If I could describe it..its like some inferiority complex invaded my brain and married my anxiety. For example,, Relationship are hard to maintain because as soon as I meet someone I picture us breaking up...(self destruction). I've learned this much from my research. I'm just trying to stop the involuntary talking to myself because I can't live like this anymore. People think I'm crazy and unfortunately in today's society that means they assume im dangerous. I just want to figure out how to stop it.
