I feel so lost
I'm a 20 year old unemployed girl who lives with her parents, and ever since I graduated high school my parents have been putting more and more pressure on me to get a job and go to college.
Now here's the issue, they are isolating me from my friends forcing me to "make an effort" in my life. And to them, making that effort is getting a job or being in college.
I understand where they're coming from in this situation, I don't wanna be lounging around the house all day myself. But what they're doing is quite counter productive and they won't listen to my anxieties about the situation as a whole.
I had worked in retail once so far, and had my soul crushed. And it took my two tries to graduate from high school, so my apprehension towards college is understandable. But my parents refuse to acknowledge that I may be scared of these things, they're busy trying to force me down a path I'm not ready for nor want.
They're not letting me forge forwards on my own. Even though they preach that I should be making my own decisions and that they can't tell me what to do, as soon as I do something they don't like I all of sudden can't make my own decisions.
I don't know what to do.

Well, I think it is important that you realized your parents' objective. They want you to have a good future and obviously, so do you. However, it does not seem they know how counter-productive they are being. No matter what is being said to you, you are experiencing feelings of anxiety and stress which should not be held inside you.
First of all, it is great that you took the time to make a post here on 7 cups, where everyone is here to help. I definitely reccomend taking the next step in the right direction and talking to a listener here and telling them your feelings. They will not give advice, but they might help you better understand and label what you are feeling and identify what the best solution or approach to the situation may be. Here is a link to browse our listeners available right now: https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/
If it is advice you are seeking. It won't be in here. We suggest you talk to a therapist or counselor. It is completely normal to talk to a counselor for job advice. You are in a tough period of your life where you have to make decisions and you would like professional help that is completely normal!
No matter what, the solution will always remain. If your parents are causing you to have anxiety and what they are doing is counter-productive, then that has to be said to them and they have to realize the error of their ways considering that they are neglecting your feelings.
If you would like, you could always send me a message and I can get back to you as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
Prio.
