I’m not doing well

I've been struggling with my depression and anxiety for a while now and it's only getting worse. Just before Christmas I was denied entry into work because of suspected COVID contact so I wasn't getting to work or get paid. Now the other day I lost the job because I found out the job is going to be obsolete in a few months & began looking foe other employment. They didn't like that & fired me. I'm now stressing over how I'm going to continue to pay off my student loans and other bills each month on top of my regular anxieties.
I'm not sure what to do to cope. I'm applying all over and have gotten some interest, so that helps, but I'm still spiraling. I'm wanting to turn back to my ED just to have that control over something and I'm not battling those feelings easily. I have a therapy session soon as well as a psychiatrist and psychologist appointment that I'm hoping will give me some answers. I'm struggling more than I ever have.

@BrighterWay68

I'm so sorry to hear that you are struggling so much. You do have a lot of things going on which are difficult to process. What sorts of coping strategies have you therapists recommended in the past? It is easy to forget these things in the heat of the moment. There are also many great resources here on 7 Cups that might help.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

@BrighterWay68 the biggest thing we've focused on has been deep breathing. She gave me a list of coping mechanisms that I can use but I honestly got so down I forgot to ever look at it.

@Amandarw9 Honestly what you are going through is stressful from being denied to work and then fired from your job for searching elsewhere for employment. That's not easy especially since you have student loans and probably other bills to pay off. But I think it's good that you are having a therapy session as well as a psychiatrist and psychologist appointment because it shows you are caring for yourself. The feelings from depression and anxiety are not easy to deal with and will most likely continue to be a struggle, but you can perservere. It's easier said than done but focus on baby steps and the fact you are continually applying for jobs and have some interest is an accomplishment in itself. I hope you all the best and that you find the answes you are looking for
