My Anxiety is Ruining My Life

Hey everyone. So long story short I've had anxiety for, I've tried medications that never work, I've tried different things to help call the anxiety, but recently it's been getting out of hand. So a couple weeks ago I got a really bad sinus infection and between vomiting, no voice, and being too dizzy to stand for over 5 minutes I decided to call of work. I called at least 2-3 hours in advance and my manager(the one I like who cares about us) told me it was alright and to just bring in a doctor's note for company records and it was great. However, before being able to call in I got so scared and terrified they would fire me on the spot for doing that. (Mind you this is just a retail job. I work at Staples and I'm just a sales associate who walks around assisting customers and stocking things.) Well a couple hours ago I needed to call off again. The car broke down and I don't live anywhere close enough to work to walk or catch a bus to be there on time so I decided to call off since it's only the 2nd time compared to the others who call off on a weekly basis. Well the other manager is there and got rude with me about it so now I'm a mess and I feel like they all hate me for calling off twice after 6 months of being there without a call off. Other employees call off much more, but there's only 1 other person in my department so it's harder to get away with a call off for me. I just don't know what to do at this point other than cry my eyes out some more.

@ShyHippie

I'm only a member and not an expert and can only provide a subjective opinion based on my experiences, but I know what it is like to have such anxiety wherby over thinking only exaggerates and makes you feel worse both mentally and physically and although I'm sure you would be able to see clearly if it was happening to someone else, you feel the conflict within because it's happening to you. When you look at it logically, you have given yourself all the comforting mitigants to your situation . You should not feel guilty for not being well and a company should and do have various procedures for administering such, everyone gets sick. With regards to the other manager, there will always be differences of opinion and as you have said there are many others who have had more time off than you and may or may not have all been genuine, so he has to manage that and is therefore frustrating from his point of view especially if have to cover at short notice, this doesn't excuse the rudeness but their attitude is not your fault. There are some really good listeners on here who can help. Sending you a virtual hug and wishing you peaceful thoughts, everyone at seven cups is here to support each other, you are not alone. Take care.
