New here,just sharing my anxiety
I am 30 years old,i live in Greece.I am in therapy (psychoanalysis-pshychodynamic psychotherapy) for almost 2 years now.I have intense anxiety,irational thoughts and fears and anxiety attacks for 10years now.It all started when i had my first anxiety attack when i went for sleep,so then i was thinking omg i will have it again when i ll go to sleep.Then i was thinking ok you have to sleep for 8 hours so you dont have it again.Then ok do feel sleepy?You will have another attack because of this.I couldn't stop think about this all the time.Then i was dating a girl who was a friend's ex but i couldn't tell him because i i w afraid,so everytime he spoke to me i was thinking "omg he knows" why he asked me this?he must know.Then one day he sent me a message "come here i want to talk to you".I left the house in full panick mode and then a new thought came,i i was thinking"what if there's a conspiracy about me?what if everything was done in porpuse?omg Takis!you are getting paranoid!And then i was trying to convince myself that my thoughts aren't true,i was checking for reassurance everywhere,ok everything is fine Takis,your thoughts aren't true, they are just thoughts,yeah but why do you think them?I also hear about a symptom of schizophrenia and i am"omg you think this way"or i say you have agoraphobia and then i leave the house and i maybe have anxiety attack because i think i have this so i do everything to reassure that all of these arent true

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like you've had a hard time coping with all the anxiety causing thoughts that seem to connect with other anxious thoughts. I'm gald you decided to going into therapy. It's a major step in maintaining and progressing your mental health. If you ever need someone to talk to, you can direct message me or any other listener. I've been through a highly anxiety producing phase, too, and I was able to go through it with therapy. I'm sure you have the strength to do the same.
@StabilizingTurtle What type of therapy do you do?
@sincereYard8243
I'm not a therapist, as of yet, but I've done mental health related volunteer work.
@StabilizingTurtle No,i i don't mean that.Sorry.I mean what type of tgerapy are you in?
@sincereYard8243
Oh, gotcha. I was in CBT and tried meditation/mindfulness on my own. The CBT really helped.
