New job
I'm grateful for my new job but, I'm afraid I can't make it work because they want me to make conversation with the customers and that makes me nervous. I have no problem helping them but having conversations is something else. Another reason it's difficult is that I keep hearing quite a lot of inappropriate talk.I don't know how to make this work.
@gentlePeace76 I understand why you'd feel scared to be out of your comfort zone, especially in a new environment. Do you feel that with practice, you might feel more and more comfortable making conversation with customers? I hear you that it can be draining, though! It's too bad you've had to hear inappropriate conversations. Is that something you could talk to your supervisor about? Best of luck!!

The lady who has been doing the job is very well liked. I know I cannot compete with her. I'll just do my best.
