Hello folks…

im diagnosed bipolar, but after starting a new customer service job working from home, I’ve developed panic attacks. They usually happen in the morning before work, rarely in the middle. I’ve been working with my doc to adjust my meds, and they were getting better for a while, but now they’re getting worse again. It’s really disheartening to call in each day because I get too psyched out to login and do my job. I’m also practicing breathing techniques, walking in the mornings to try to sweat it out, and they only help while I’m doing them, I don’t feel like I get any long term benefits from them. Today I logged onto this app for the first time and chatted with the bot when I had a panic attack come on suddenly, and the techniques she gave were reassuring, but didn’t quite set me back to rights. I love the job, I love interacting with people, but I can hardly perform. I feel very lost and a little scared.

@Charismaladyn

Hello, and welcome to 7 Cups.

Its seems that you may have a love-fear relation with this new job. Maybe is not the case, and the panic attacs are not related with the job, I cant know.

In our modern society fear is not a very welcomed emotion, and we often neglet or ignore it. Not atended fears may try to gain our atention and finally get out of control in the form of panic. Nor that I say it is your case.

Sometimes listening to our fears and getting to some kind of agreement, even if it seems silly, may be of great help.

As I cant know if this is your case or not, and probably not, I may just wellcome you and send you good vibes.

Hugs =)
