No self esteem
I feel like I am terrible at everything I try. I'm not good at my job, I'm not good with people , I don't have strong relationships, I've never really been good at any hobbies...I'm scared that I'll never be able to maintain a job or connect with anyone. (My husband has stayed with me through a lot, so there's that)
I'm no stranger to self esteem issues and I'm sorry you have to deal with this too. Please know we are here to support you whenever you need it.
Something that has helped me are positive affirmations. There's a mindfulness recording on this site that is specifically about positive affirmations, I'm not sure but I think it's just called ''positive affirmations''. Saying these little phrases like ''I am wonderful'' seems silly at first and you probably won't believe yourself when you say them. That's okay. Just remember, the negative thoughts you are now having about yourself had to be born one day too. They are so powerful now because they have been repeated over and over until you started to believe them. I find strength in knowing this because the same logic can be applied to positive thoughts. Repeat them enough, and you'll start to believe them.
Another thing that might be helpful would be to make a list of all your talents, strengths and accomplishments. They don't have to be huge meaningful things, a few small ones are good too. If you find this hard, you could ask your husband to help you. Whenever you feel bad about yourself, read the list.
Personally what has helped me in the past in becoming more confident is exercise. I joined a boxing gym a couple of years back and from the moment I started training there I felt so much better about myself, it was amazing. Right now I'm not boxing anymore but I still find strength in the experiences I've had in that gym.
I hope you find something that works for you.
