I feel the same way often, even the people I love start to feel like vampires, sucking the life out of me and I have no time to replenish the "life juice" before they come around again. I've read that trying out hobbies that take a lot of focus/practice like jiu-jitsu really helps with that. Creates zen where all you can focus on is your posture, stance, form, etc. I just got into archery for that reason and I can let you know if I have any luck with the zen

Also, something else that I have to remind myself of but I think helps: they tell you during the airplane safety talk that you must put your oxygen mask on first before your kids' because your kid is going to be in a worse spot with you dead or passed out on the floor then waiting a few moments while you get your mask on. Your life energy is the same thing! Your loved ones that you give all of yourself to, will be in worse shape if you've given so much juice, you got nothing left for you and your well-being. Then the next time they need you, you can't be there because you got no juice. You have to take care of you first.

@courageousOrange7511 It is good question which we face every time because we fall any serous matter and mind is evolve in overthinking. It may be when when we don't understand to take decision. Other matter may be it is habit to overthinking or have more time to think. I think we should overcome from this situation by doing play game, meditation and improve our decision making power.

this is such an important theme. first and foremost, you've got to look after yourself. make time. value yourself - you're worth it. spending more time on others might seem like you're being caring and you are. but it's also an act of neglect - of yourself! say 'no' to others more. and 'yes' to yourself.

it's a (kinda) related thread - so I thought i'd share it here : https://www.7cups.com/forum/GeneralSupport_28/ManagingEmotions_1601/Overthinkershavearead_265679/1/

Hi, thinking is a normal process for all humans, and it helps us in our day to day life in various decision making activities. However , if we are into overthinking , it generally means that we are into some sort of confusion or chaos on a particular situation/event, that is not helping us , to arrive at a proper decision and conclusion. Look at it more closely . What makes you to 'overthink' and on which subject? Do you need more information/knowledge on this aspect, do you need to consult others to seek their advice etc. While it is important to care for others, it is much more important to Self care , first.
