Overthinking is ruining my life
I analyze everything. I cannot ignore anything. I cannot handle not having a good explanation for anything. I hate living like this. I hate analyzing everything. I hate overthinking. I hate anxiety. How do I stop this.

Hey there mate,
Uhh don't stress yourself with it. Just relax. See overthinking is one such thing which everybody does. I too struggle with it a lot. But you know now I feel Better with it. Uhh the thing I'm going to tell you, it worked with me, I'm not sure if it does for you but you can try it.
So what I do is I've stopped considering it a problem in my life. Feelings of anxiety, depression, it's something we all have, but don't let those feelings command over you. Try to manage them, organize them. When you overthink, try to go as deep and as far as you can, even when it seems like it's going to be endless but just keep going until your mind runs out of thoughts and finally the loop ends.
See everything we overthink it's just because we expect too much. We always keep an idea or a certain plan of how Things must occur. So just keep calm. Don't expect too much. You'll make it through
Plus you know once you learn to command your overthinking, it can be very useful honestly. It can just do a lot of things. It helps me with the studies and sometimes you know I try to crack plots or some suspense in movies and series, LOL.. SO just relax mate!
In my very worst days of overthinking, I wrotey thoughts down.
Except I added a twist.
I tried to write it down in the most clear, elegant, simple form possible. I tried to boil everything down to the core, like converting phenomenon into math equations.
Instead of rambling on and on about an emotion, I challenged myself to sum it up in two lines. What caused it? And what is the result of it?
So obviously this one isnt for everybody, but its worth giving it a try I guess!

hey, i've been in a similar situation. anxiety is a mental illness and it can be absolutely debilitating. like any other illness though, there are treatments available. what helped me when i felt like that was talking about it, and accepting that i had a mental illness. then i was able to ask for help. try and take it day by day. good luck, and you don't have to go through this alone
a lot of people on 7 cups have been in the exact same situation and there's always someone willing to talk about it.
@Jflack324
I really understand you!
I do not know if this could help you, but I would like to share my story briefly:
It is really frustrating! I am currently living this experience. Actually, it never ceased.
I live with depression and OCD since I was 11 years old, but my mental health started to decline when I left home due to my countrys instability.
Once settled, life started to happen. Be independent, make a living. I have never stopped overthinking everything. I realized it was avoiding me from living my life: go out with friends, have a social life, meet people. I rather used to stay home on weekends.
However, it got worse by the end of 2017 and I have been living a very unsteady life since. A couple of months later my father got sick and 5 months later he was dead. This really destroyed me. I was not expecting it and I obviously was not prepared emotionally.
Briefly, since then I have been living with apathy and ambivalence.
At present, I am trying to find the best way to manage these feelings on my life.
@Jflack324 Just dropping in to say II have a similar issue. I couldn't have put it any better. Half the things that stress me out or make me angry boil down to overanalyzing and overthinking or wanting more precision in thought and speech from those around me at work or home. I hate it, too. The most progress I've made is when I make time to practice mindfulness every day - that and working through stress management programs (apps, or websites like this). I'm here because I need to work more on myself, but I think I need the extra nudge of accountability that chatting and connecting with others brings. I hope you find something that works for you.
