Panic attacks are ruining my work
I haven't been able to hold a job down due to my anxiety and panic.
I am worried that if I can't work I wil lose myself

Yes, I have anxiety and panic attacks at work as well. You can ask for a reasonable accommodation in most workplaces under the ADA if you are in the US. I wish I could hug you right now. I take anti-anxiety medications that make me sleepy, and they do their job. However, when someone is yelling at me or tells someone else a lie about me to make themselves look better, it hurts, and I get anxiety. I wish I could quit, and this afternoon, I seriously wonder if my boss is plotting to fire me based on a very uneasy phone conversation this morning.
I think that some people, such as you and me, are more sensitive to what is communicated from other people... so much to a point that it causes perpetual stress and anxiety that causes work quality problems. It would be nice if someone saw and cared for in the workplace, but no one does here, and no one ever has in any of my jobs. There's always a negative person/bully/verbally abusive in the workplace, and when it's your boss, then things get bad.
In the US, you could potentially apply for disability benefits if your medical provider has ruled that you are permanently disabled due to the anxiety problems. This isn't a lot of money, and I would lose my house if I went this route. In addition, it's not that we 'can't work', it's that we can't easily deal with abusive people. I would quit and walk out right now if I felt like I could find another job or another income to replace this one.
