Hi,

I'm in one year grad program. It's very intense. I feel pretty overworked and kind of exploited tbh because of heavy workload. I asked for accomodations. It's taking some time to get. She said I would have it Monday, but I didn't. Will follow up. So stressed.

Hi Day!

I was in a really similar situation last week, feeling overworked and like nothing I do makes any difference... I had a mini-break off of school and had to threaten to quit my job to get time off so I could actually use the break to relax a little and find just a tiny bit of peace... we just have to keep telling ourselves that school is only temporary, one day we'll have the degree we want and will move on to bigger and better things...

Love,

MB

@mbkh98 Thanks. Have you tried to get accomodations or ask for extensions? After a long wait, I finally got mine, which includes permission to extensions on some things, so I feel a little more relieved.

@Daydreamer47

My school told me that I wasnt legally allowed to work more than 30 hours as a full time student, something about state laws where I'm at... unfortunately I have no choice but to work 60 hours bc I'm the only manager at my workplace.

However, as I said things will get better. The last 24 hours have actually had a multitude of issues at my workplace solved (things I couldn't do without the owner's help) and I'm significantly less stressed out. Hopefully things will turn around on your end, too. I know grad school is horrid at times, but everyone I know says it's worth being able to do your research project under someone else's wing
