Social Anxiety

I didn't know which thread would be appropriate so I made a new one. I have an atleast moderate case of social anxiety disorder. I have trouble being emotionally available to friends or in a social situation where I will be judged negatively. While, I don't feel anxious holding first time conversations, continued conversation is difficult for me. Similarly I used to take rejections very personally but now I just pretend that I don't care. Yeah I know it's not a very healthy way of dealing with rejection and I am overreacting, but this is the only way I know how to.

@ThoughtfulEspaz
It is hard to accept rejection. I can understand this feeling. It takes time and courage to practice how to accept rejections. Avoidance will make you temporarily feel better. But it also raises the difficulty the next time when you face rejection. There is no shortcut to change this type of mindset, but need lots of time to practice it. Is OK to take time once you are willing to face it. Is hard and you are brave. Thank you for sharing true you with us.
